Well the trouble is that I don't know Your language and I have seen these shoes on website ( http://www.hudy.cz/praha.dejvicka/goods ... nguageID=1 ) . Can You tall me (and some of my friends from forum www.ngt.pl) what are these shoes for real. We know that they are leather/leather construction and we like that . But can You tell us something about "podešev"? Is it durable? How would You compare them to Meindl Engadin? One more thing... Can You answer in englisch please We have some really good polisch outdoor brand's that You don't know, and we can help each other

Hello; I'm not sure if there's anybody who has or had Fitwell boots. It's not a well known brand in the Czech Republic... I expect lots of people will recommend you famous brands like Meindl, Lowa, Hanwag, Asolo, Garmont, La Sportiva etc. or Saltic (Czech brand), and so do I, too In my opinion, it is a safer investition... But generally, the range of non-membrane boots isn't wide. There aren't lots of possibilities to choose...

I thought that Fitwell is Czech They don't have official website and there are loads od Fitwell shoes on Your websites. We know Podtatran It's on our list of good shoes.

Actually, leather lining boots aren't "in" in our country; because of the modern trends, the dealers offer mostly membrane lining boots, despite the fact, that there are alternatives without the membrane in producers' catalogues... The sales are usually focused on the membrane models, too.
I wanted to buy Engadin, too, but these boots cost very much - more than 5000 CZK; you can buy very good trekking boots (even with membrane) from 4000 CZK, Saltic Granit can be bought from 3000 CZK, I got my Alta Via GTX for an action price 3900 CZK - that is a hard challenge for good leather lining boots...

Fitwell is and italian brand I read on several czech websites. And there was a claim on Fitwell shoes in Hudy.

I've checked Prabos and Saltic... just membranes ...
Well in Poland it's silmilar with membranes. But people are starting to realize that membrane shoes just doesn't work in every conditions. Leather lining shoes are better for wormer days and they don's smell so badly Also they are more durable - some people can brake gore lining in few months. That are the reasons why people are looking for something else, but they can't find it in most shops!
@Schnappi: I've bought my engadin in lumberjack shop - they were almost 20% cheaper than in any outdoor shop, because they got them directly from Meindl .

@zbuddy: I can't read in czech language... So I didn't look for that information... To be honest yesterday I didn't even know that Fitwell exists

I'm not sure, but I think, that the only company which imports Meindl to Czech Republic is Tilak (producer of great GTX outdoor clothing for appropriate price ). Because of this the prices of Meindl boots are similar in the whole country.

Schnappi it is exacly the same in my country. The is only one german lumberjack shop in poland that can doo that - it's in Poznan.

Yup. "Popradky" have a really good name in Slovakia. It's a classic. However, did you notice LaSportiva Himalaya? It's also a classical leather-lined boot and I found them to be superb. Exactly what I was looking for.

@Rujir: Well Karrimor makes everything in China - quality is very poor. Both me and my girlfriend had bought karrimor sandals in UK and they didn't even last 1 week of trekking! She has got Tiger 60-85 backpack - it's rubbish. That's why I have wolfgang. And now karrimor go-system stove - after 3 months piezo doesn't work. Don't buy anything made by Karrimor!
